Session 6

Inside some random house, the remaining members of the Tvordal squad—Willem, Rolf, and Renholt—down some potions of healing, grab their new hostage—an insensate Barrax—and make for the back door.

Outside, Keech reunites with Malcis and Odysseus. As the trio plans how to rescue their compatriot, they're rejoined by Brother Simon—who has a clever idea.

In the alley, the Dalers have just placed the groggy Barrax on a convenient handcart just as one of their own rounds the corner with a shackled partisan in tow! In truth, it's Brother Simon doing a warlock thing to take on the guise of a fallen Tvordal soldier, with Odysseus in shackles a la Death Star Chewbacca.

This gets them close enough to the dwarves that Brother Simon heals Barrax, while Keech and Malcis attack from the other end of the alley. The battle is joined!

The dwarves get in some good hits, but the PCs have the advantage. Renholt is dropped quickly. When Rolf would fall his attempt to shift the damage to a still-disguised Brother Simon fails, since Simon isn't an ally. Rolf dies, surprised and chagrined. Willem has no fancy tricks—just multiple attacks and lots of hit points—and soon the PCs stand victorious.

Before the PCs retreat from the scene (no telling when Gisela and the rest of the Tvordal squad will reappear, plus they're just a few blocks from the occupied Dockside), a quick looting coughs up some coins and a few potions. Not great, far as spoils go, but better than them lying dead in an alley or captured…
